I have known Kyle Lamb for quite a few years on the shooting circuit and attended the North Carolina Tactical 3-Gun match for several years, a match hosted by Kyle and his company, Viking Tactics, Inc. Kyle is one of the most experienced and well-known special operators in the community. His advice is sought by many and taken seriously as he has been on the front line for many years. With input and that of other tactical experts such as Bennie Cooley, we have designed the JP-15/VTAC rifle system for law enforcement or military operators and those who want the best for civilian home defense applications. Each JP-15/VTAC rifle will have the Viking Tactics logo laser engraved on the lower receiver.

Our goal for the VTAC rifle was to provide the most rugged, duty-reliable rifle with less attention to cosmetic detail but all the performance and accuracy you've come to expect from a JP. In other words, we wanted uncompromised performance at a more affordable price. As Kyle likes to put it, a JP-15/VTAC rifle is like a Chevy with Ferrari guts under the hood.

All Vtac rifles will have the Black Teflon finish on the barrels as standard. The standard muzzle treatment will be the YHM Phantom flash suppressor. Compensators will be optional. Standard butt stock will be the A-2 with the Houge grip. Each VTAC rifle will include a VTAC sling, VTAC light mount and a JP tactical rail kit comprised of one 2" 12:00 rail and one 2" side rail. All of this along with the other accessory items we normally supply for a great value on the total package price.

When we have been at law enforcement demo shoots, it’s always interesting to see the reaction from officers when they see our rifles. They’ve probably seen and shot a number of rifles selling for about half the price and the first comment is something like, “What makes this one worth twice as much?” Then they step up to the line and fire three or four rounds, stop and look at the rifle and I will see a big grin light up on their face. After a few more rounds, they come back to our table and there is no need to explain the differences. They get it. You will too.
